Al Khaleej inks Richard Amardi

Richard Amardi

Al Khaleej (SBL) signed experienced 34-year old Canadian forward Richard Amardi (206cm-101kg-1990, college: Oregon, agency: BIG) for upcoming 2024-25 season. He is the second foreign player in the roster as USA Qyidar Davis signed here earlier.
He played last season at Marinos in Venezuelan SPB league. In 7 games just recently he had only 2.7ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.0spg. He also played for another Venezuelan team Frontinos Del Tachira (SPB). He was a member of Canadian Senior National Team back in 2017.
Amardi is quite experienced player. He has played in nine different countries on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). Amardi has played previously professionally in Brazil (Pinheiros), Bulgaria (Levski and Yambol), Greece (Charilaos), Mexico (Dorados), Slovakia (Spisski Rytieri), Libya (Ahly Tripoli), Canada (Moncton Magic, London Lightning, Windsor Express and River Lions) and NBA G League (Raptors 905 Mississauga).
Among many awards his team was regular season runner-up in Mexican LNBP East Division in 2021. He was voted to USBasket.com NBL Canada All-Domestic Players Team back in 2017.
Amardi graduated from University of Oregon in 2014 and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season as a professional player. He played also for Weatherford College for one year.
